Books are mystical objects. As far as one might try to explain the rationale behind them, it always feels reductive, or an offence the book, to try and do that. Books are alive, and whisper things! This one whispers a lot, and loudly (if a whisper can ever be loud)! There’s a soft yet chaotically empowering magnificence – feminine power in its most potent form, when it comes from the heart and it could destroy everything but chooses to embrace instead. That’s Delaine’s work, and the echo it had on all the other women who have worked on the visuals of this book.
